Bančna skupina NLB se še zmeraj ni izkopala iz težav, ki jih ima s slabimi posojili iz preteklosti. Lansko leto je končala z 239 milijoni evrov izgube, od katerih je za 233 milijonov odgovorna prav matična banka NLB. Te številke so celo večje, kot so bile še leta 2010. Takrat je imela skupina 202 milijona, matična banka pa 183 milijonov izgube......

Nova Ljubljanska banka je lani pridelala 233 milijonov evrov izgube, potem ko je ta v letu 2010 znašala dobrih 183 milijonov evrov. Skupina NLB je medtem ustvarila 239 milijonov evrov izgube, potem ko je ta predlani dosegla 202 milijona.
Glavni razlog za globoke izgube NLB ostaja velik prirast slabih posojil, ki banko sili v nove in nove odpise in rezervacije......

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is expected to launch an inquiry Wednesday into banks’ overdraft practices, which have been in regulatory crosshairs in recent years.
The bureau said it will look into whether banks are reordering customers’ debit-card charges to maximize overdraft fees. Reordering transactions can double or triple penalties, and the practice has been the target of several class-action lawsuits against the nation’s biggest banks.

Existing-home sales rise to start 201222 February 2012, 4:32 pm
Existing-home sales recovered during the first month of the year after falling off to close 2011, according to data released Wednesday by the National Association of Realtors.
Sales of previously occupied homes increased 4.3 percent from a downwardly revised 4.38 million in December to 4.57 million in January. That’s the fastest pace since May 2010 (4.89 million) and 0.7 percent higher than the mark one year ago.
